CE marking

Medical devices, apart from those that are tailor-made or intended for clinical investigation, which are said to satisfy the essential requirements, must bear the CE marking for conformity when marketed.

If a notified body has been involved in verifying the procedure of conformity, the CD marking must be accompanied by a four-figure number indicating the notified body (Notified bodies (WEB)).
